  1. Population and dissenters: Three hundred Families – four dissenting three Presbyterians & one Quaker. Here is a Licenc’d House for Presbyterians but quite disused.

  2. Public or charity schools: Here is an English School kept by a Licenced Master, who teaches a very uncertain Number, but diligently instructs the attending scholars in the Principles of the Xtian Religion, & constantly brings ‘em to Church.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: Here is an Almshouse endowed with two Shillings a week for six Families. We have Lands left for the repair of the Church I think about ten Pounds a year properly applied by the Feoffees.

  4. Residence upon cure: I reside personally upon my Cure in the vicarage House.

  5. Curate: No Curate.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I Serve Twitchen, as your Lordship will perceive by my Answer to the Queries concerning that Parish once in three weeks as a Daughter Church to North-Molton.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Twice every Lord’s Day except when I am obligd to attend Twitchen in the afternoon.

  8. Frequency of communion: Eight Times every Year.

  9. Number of communicants: Two hundred – Fourscore usually receive – one hundred communicated last Easter.

  10. Catechising of children: Every Sunday Afternoon in the Summer Time unless when I am prevented by my attendance at Twitchen. The Parishioners are not quite so careful in sending their Children as I could wish but I hope to persuade ‘em to be more dilgent & ?punctual.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: No Chapels.
